We - and - are one of the leading online food-delivery platforms in Europe and are looking for a English and German speaking Deskside Support Engineer to join our multinational and multicultural technology division.


A day in the life of...

You start your day with the first visitor at your desk while you still take off your jacket: "Can you please help me, I deleted the internet?". Of course you can, you're a Sysadmin. After restoring the Chrome Desktop Icon, you resume your day by monitoring various network devices. It's the mid of the month, so you check on the new employees, create accounts and order indestructible hardware (spoiler alert: nothing is indestructible). After lunch break with your colleagues, you continue with your latest project: a faster way of deploying software to our 500+ Windows clients. At the end of the day, you're about to leave, when suddenly a panicked supervisor comes to you: "all phones are ringing at the same time, can you help?" Of course you can, you're a Sysadmin.

The role

  • Usermanagement (Active Directory and various cloud systems)
  • Network monitoring (Switches, Wifi Accesspoints, Firewalls)
  • Ordermanagement & Inventarisation
  • Installation & configuration of Microsoft Windows-, Apple macOS- & Linux-based Operation systems
  • Mobile device management (iOS / Android)
  • VoIP server administration (Asterisk-based)
  • IT Helpdesk

Your profile

  • Profound knowledge of Microsoft Server 2012 R2 and its features (ADS, DNS, DHCP, DFS).
  • Deep knowledge of managing various client systems, from Microsoft Windows 10, over Apple macOS to a colorful bouquet of Linux distributions.
  • Experience in maintaining networking equipment (firewalls, routers, wifi access points)
  • Administration of VMWare VSphere environment
  • Capable of configuring and monitoring of backup systems
  • Experiences in managing inhouse, linux-based Callcenter system (VoIP, Ticket system)
  • Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues to end users
  • Knowledge in cloud systems (Google GSuite; Amazon Web Services, MS Office 365, Gitlab, Github)
  • Worked with Jira as ticketing system
  • Ability to describe technical information in easy-to-understand terms
  • Setting up user accounts and retrieving information including passwords and account user names
  • You speak both German and English at least at level CEF B2
